On Tuesday night, the H&N sports department covered the crosstown doubleheader between Triad and Hosanna Christian. Seeing as the teams are in the same town and league, and each school's respective gyms are packed more so than usual when they square off, we sports guys have determined this clash needs a name.

Battle zucchini

Overwhelmed with zucchini? Some of us at the Herald and News are. One of our copy editors brought in a box of giant zucchini last week and put us to the test. I turned one specimen into four loaves of zucchini bread and a casserole and still had a significant amount left. That’s not counting the zucchini that ended up in my eyebrows. ATV dangers

What is the matter with parents who pull their kids on sleds with pickups and ATVs on residential streets? One on an ATV at night with no lights on was pulling his kids behind and almost ran into a grader trying to clear snow on our street. ATVs are not street legal vehicles. Should the police be called?

CASA launches new Web site

Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children of Klamath County will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new Web site at 12:15 p.m. today at the Klamath County Courthouse by the flagpoles. The Web site, www.klamathfallscasa.org, funded by the Ford Family Foundation, will provide information about how to become a volunteer to advocate for 78 children in foster care in Klamath County and how to donate to the organization.
